New Haven CT 2020 LCI Seminar

From Friday, October 16th through Saturday, October 17th, twelve participants gathered at the Whinteyville Cultural Commons in Hamden for an intensive 24-hour seminar for certification as League Cycling Instructors  (LCIs).  The LCI program was developed and is offered through the League of American Bicyclists, and it is the only nationally recognized bike instructor certification program in the United States. Through the LCI program, experienced cyclists who have completed the League's nine-hour Smart Cycling course - also known as Traffic Safety 101 - are trained to teach that same curriculum to people of all ages, all ability levels, and from all backgrounds.

On November 26, 2019, NHCAT held a presentation on Ciclovias at mActivity with guest speaker Charles Brown, the Keynote Lunch Speaker for the 2019 Multimodal & Transit Summit.

2018 Events

2nd Annual Bicycle Friendly America Celebration

On November 10, 2018, NHCAT held the 2nd Annual Bicycle Friendly America celebration with the City of New Haven and bike and walk organizations and advocates. During the festivities, at the Canal Dock Boathouse, NHCAT Board member David Berkowitz awarded Mayor Harp the silver award as a Bicycle Friendly Community.
