URGENT ACTION ALERT
Stop Preventable Road Deaths in Connecticut!
Calls Needed Before Noon Monday (1 May)
Support Vision Zero House Bill 5917

Tell Connecticut General Assembly Appropriations Committee Members you Support HB5917 to authorize - not mandate - local governments to install automated camera enforcement in high crash corridors, school zones and pedestrian safety zones.

Send a Simple and Short Email or Voice Mail Message Today

"Dear Appropriations Co-Chairs Sen. Cathy Osten and Rep. Toni Walker and Honored Committee Members,

Please move Vision Zero Council Recommendations (HB5917) forward for a floor vote. Connecticut residents shouldn't be dying on our roadways every day in preventable crashes. The Vision Zero bill provides meaningful, effective automated enforcement for Connecticut municipalities that choose it to stop speeding and save lives."

While 60 percent of road deaths happen nationally on high-speed, multi-lane arterials which need to be redesigned and rebuilt, automated enforcement is a proven interim step. Here are recent editorials written by Vision Zero Advocates Abigail Roth of New Haven and Kerri Ana Provost of Hartford
