Leiyanie "Lee" Osorio
Executive Director
Lee Osorio is the executive director of the New Haven Coalition for Active Transportation, NCAT. A migrant from Puerto Rico, Lee holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice and an M.S. in Administration and Youth Development from Albertus Magnus College.
Lee is a current fellow in the Access to Law School Program at Yale University, where she is pursuing a Juris Doctorate Degree. Most recently, Lee worked as Youth Manager with LEAP in New Haven. Lee has been involved in community policing, educational law & juvenile justice practices, and restorative justice aimed at youth policies, environmental justice, and services to underserved communities.
After becoming certified as a League Cycling Instructor (LCI) of the League of American Bicyclists, Lee quickly became enthusiastic about creating positive change for youth and adults through cycling programs. She believes that underserved communities of youth, people of color, immigrants, low-income residents, and LGBTQIA--can become more vibrant and livable. Lee expects NCAT to continue expanding its youth and adult bike education classes and provide support and advocacy for all modes of active transportation in New Haven and beyond.
