Join AARP CT, advocates, local leaders, and state legislators on Wednesday, October 25th in Hartford at a FREE Complete Streets mini-summit and conversation. Hartford is an easy train ride from New Haven on the Hartford Line, and the Legislative Office Building is a short walk across Bushnell Park from Hartford's Union Station.
"Connecticut’s roadways are more dangerous than ever, but better planning and design could improve safety and save lives. Complete Streets is a policy approach that makes roadways safer for pedestrians, bicyclists, motorists, and transit riders of all ages and abilities. Join AARP Connecticut, the Connecticut Department of Transportation, Smart Growth America, Transport Hartford, legislators, and community leaders for a "mini conference" about Complete Streets on Wednesday, October 25th in Room 1D of the Legislative Office Building in Hartford.
This program is FREE, but registration is requested. Coffee, breakfast, and networking will begin at 8:30am. The program runs from 9am - 11:30am and will include: a Complete Streets training from Smart Growth America, presentations about Complete Streets efforts in New Britain and Stamford, and a panel discussion with state and local leaders."
