A hearty thank you to those that donated to support youth bicycle programs in New Haven! Seventy eight folks donated to the crowdfunding campaign that included matching funds from Sustainable CT. With these funds the New Haven Coalition for Active Transportation will be able to work with New Haven Public Schools to start a new 2nd grade learn to ride program during physical education classes. The funds will also support continuing the 4th and 5th grade after school bike club at East Rock School into 2025.
If you missed the crowdfunding campaign, you can still make a year end donation to support NCAT's mission and programs in 2025. We're exciting to grow bicycle classes, social rides, and bike share classes next year.
Beyond classes, the New Haven Coalition for Active Transportation keeps you informed about planning and road design public input opportunities. We need your help and outreach to local leaders pushing for safer streets, traffic calming, and safe bike routes. With info from NCAT, you and your neighbors have the resources you need to effectively demand safer streets.
